‎Jake Paul secured the fight shortly after his scheduled bout with Gervonta Davis was canceled. The cancellation followed the filing of a civil lawsuit against Davis that included allegations of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
‎The upcoming fight places Paul, who has competed 13 times with 12 victories, against one of the most decorated British boxers of his era. Anthony Joshua enters the ring with 32 professional fights, 28 wins, and 25 knockouts. Their contest is set for eight three-minute rounds using 10oz gloves, marking Paul’s highest-profile challenge since his previous matchup with former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson.
‎Most Valuable Promotions, Paul’s promotional company, is organizing the event. The fight also represents Paul’s second live showcase on Netflix, reinforcing the streaming service’s investment in high-visibility sports programming.
