‎Kim Kardashian has shared an important update on her path to becoming a lawyer. The reality star and entrepreneur revealed on Instagram that she did not pass the bar exam she took earlier this summer.

‎Kardashian posted on her Instagram Stories, “Well…I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV.” She added, “Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up — just more studying and even more determination.”
‎The Skims founder expressed gratitude to her supporters, writing that falling short of success isn’t failure but motivation. “I was so close to passing the exam and that only motivates me even more,” she said. This marks another setback in her legal studies, having previously failed the California bar exam three times before passing the state’s “baby bar” in 2021.
‎Kardashian has been studying through a California apprenticeship program that allows aspiring lawyers to train under licensed attorneys rather than attend law school. Her passion for the law began with her involvement in criminal justice reform, a cause she has continued to champion publicly.
‎In a 2022 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Kardashian shared her future goal of opening a law firm dedicated to hiring formerly incarcerated individuals. “I want to finish law school and then my ultimate goal is to open up a firm that hires formerly incarcerated people,” she said.
‎The daughter of the late Robert Kardashian, who famously served on O.J. Simpson’s defense team, Kim has often acknowledged her father’s influence on her decision to pursue law. Her journey reflects both a personal and professional commitment to the field.
‎Kardashian’s current television role brings her legal ambitions full circle. She stars in Ryan Murphy’s All’s Fair, where she portrays a lawyer. The Hulu series, featuring an A-list cast including Glenn Close, Naomi Watts, Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash, and Teyana Taylor, has received mixed critical reviews but remains a top-performing show, currently ranking No. 1 on the platform.
‎Responding to criticism with humor, Kardashian posted on Instagram, “Have you tuned in to the most critically acclaimed show of the year!?!?!?,” alongside photos and memes from the series.
