Langley highlighted the impact of the hit during her acceptance speech alongside Green, noting that the song’s ongoing reach comes from fans who continue streaming and sharing it.
Rising star Zach Top earned new artist of the year, prevailing over nominees including Shaboozey, Ella Langley, Tucker Wetmore and Stephen Wilson Jr. His win added a lighthearted moment as he took the stage holding a can of Coors.
Morgan Wallen, last year’s entertainer of the year and the artist behind the chart-topping album I’m The Problem, did not take home an award this year.
The Red Clay Strays closed the night with a significant milestone as they ended Old Dominion’s seven-year run as vocal group of the year.
