‎A joint statement issued on Tuesday, September 9, by law firms Víctor Mosquera Marín Abogados in Colombia and DMR Law LLC in the United States clarified that Beéle, whose legal name is Brandon de Jesús López Orozco, “did not leak said material nor participate in its dissemination.” The document further highlighted that the singer’s professional career and global reputation ruled out any motive to share the content.
‎According to the statement, Beéle is also considered a victim of the non-consensual exposure of his private life. His lawyers expressed full rejection of any form of violence and emphasized their commitment to pursuing legal avenues to protect his rights. The message was shared through the verified Instagram account of Víctor Mosquera Marín Abogados and reposted to Beéle’s Instagram Stories.
‎Ladera made her accusation public a day earlier, on Monday, September 8, through a detailed Instagram post. She described the incident as “one of the cruelest betrayals” she had experienced, noting that only two people had access to the video. She added that the leak represented a form of violence against women.
‎Beéle’s legal representatives outlined immediate actions, including the submission of Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notifications and takedown orders to online platforms, service providers, and search engines. The legal team is also requesting the preservation of evidence to help identify the individuals responsible, even if they attempted to act anonymously.
‎The statement confirmed that complaints have already been filed with authorities in both Colombia and the United States. The legal strategy is being coordinated across both countries to ensure accountability for those involved in the unauthorized distribution of the material.
