Netflix to stream Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis boxing showdown

‎Netflix has officially lined up another blockbuster boxing event, bringing Jake Paul back to the ring against Gervonta “Tank” Davis on November 14 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The streaming giant, now boasting 300 million subscribers, continues expanding its live sports portfolio with another high-profile boxing spectacle.

‎The upcoming fight follows Netflix’s successful broadcast of Saul “Canelo” Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford on September 13 and its debut in boxing with Jake Paul’s controversial clash against Mike Tyson last November in Arlington, Texas. The Paul vs. Davis matchup takes place almost exactly one year after Paul’s headline-grabbing bout with Tyson.
‎Initial reports suggested a November 15 date, based on a now-deleted post from Netflix Turkey and subsequent coverage by Ring Magazine. However, scheduling conflicts at the venue shifted the event to November 14, ensuring the fight will proceed as planned.
‎Jake Paul enters the fight with a record of 12 wins, 1 loss, and 7 knockouts. The YouTuber-turned-boxer was previously in talks to face former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, but negotiations broke down due to network complications. Most recently, Paul secured a unanimous decision victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June, marking his first official world ranking after defeating a second former world champion.
‎Gervonta Davis, holding a record of 30 wins, no losses, 1 draw, and 28 knockouts, was expected to pursue a rematch with Lamont Roach after their controversial draw in March. That fight fell through following Davis’ legal issues in July, when he was arrested on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge. The case was dropped this week after the alleged victim declined to prosecute, allowing Davis to return to the ring.
‎Roach has since confirmed he will not pursue an immediate rematch, opening the door for Davis to meet Paul in a highly anticipated bout. Despite Davis’ vast experience and reputation as a two-division champion, he is likely to enter the fight at a significant weight disadvantage of more than 50 pounds against Paul.
‎The November 14 clash between Paul and Davis adds another major attraction to Netflix’s growing catalog of live sports programming, positioning the platform as a serious player in the boxing world.
