Michael B. Jordan Confirms Creed Spinoff 'Delphi' Begins Filming in Los Angeles

‎The Creed universe is preparing for its next chapter with the upcoming Prime Video series Delphi officially moving into production.
‎In May 2025, Prime Video announced that Delphi had been given a series order. The project is executive produced by Michael B. Jordan and Marco Ramirez, with Ramirez also serving as showrunner. The series focuses on young fighters training at the Delphi gym in Los Angeles, a location deeply tied to both the Rocky and Creed franchises.

‎The gym has long been connected to Adonis Creed, played by Jordan, as well as his father Apollo Creed, portrayed by Carl Weathers. Tony “Little Duke” Evers, played by Wood Harris, now runs the facility and is expected to play a major role in the story.
‎During Amazon’s upfront presentation one year after the initial series announcement, Jordan confirmed that filming for Delphi will begin in Los Angeles on May 18. Ramirez also appeared on stage during the presentation. The series is being produced under Jordan’s Outlier Society banner.
‎The event also highlighted updates on several other projects connected to Jordan and Amazon. Audiences received a first look at the Muhammad Ali biopic series The Greatest, while the highly anticipated adaptation of Fourth Wing was confirmed to have received a series order.
‎The production update for Delphi arrives three years after Creed III premiered. Although conversations about Creed IV have continued, Jordan previously explained that he wants to wait before moving forward with another film in the franchise. He said he "eventually" wants to make the movie, but also wants to "give it a little time to breathe, make people want it, miss it a little bit."
‎While the future of Creed IV remains uncertain, Delphi is now positioned as the immediate future of the franchise.
‎Unlike the Creed movies, the new series will not place Adonis Creed at the center of the story. Instead, the focus will shift toward a younger generation of boxers training at the Delphi gym alongside Little Duke. However, because of the established connection to the films and Jordan’s involvement as executive producer, a future appearance by Creed appears possible, even if limited to only a few episodes.
‎The series could also mirror elements of the earlier franchise by positioning Adonis as a mentor figure, similar to the role Rocky Balboa, played by Sylvester Stallone, held throughout the Creed films.
‎With production scheduled to start on May 18, Delphi is not expected to arrive before 2027.
‎Before then, another project tied to the Rocky franchise will hit theaters. I Play Rocky is scheduled for a Thanksgiving release, debuting widely on November 20. The film explores the behind-the-scenes story of the making of the original 1976 Rocky movie.
‎The cast includes Anthony Ippolito as Stallone, Stephan James Weathers, Kiki Seto as Talia Shire, Scot Teller as Burt Young, Jay Duplass as director John G. Avildsen, and Matt Dillon and AnnaSophia Rob playing Stallone’s parents.
‎Jordan also continues to build an extensive lineup of projects as both actor and producer. Alongside Delphi, Fourth Wing, and The Greatest, his upcoming slate includes Miami Vice ’85, The Thomas Crown Affair, I Am Legend 2, and Rainbox Six.
‎Earlier this year, Jordan won the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in Ryan Coogler’s 2025 hit film Sinners. His latest movie, Swapped, also achieved major streaming success after delivering Netflix’s biggest animated movie opening since Adam Sandler’s Leo in 2023.
