"Yes I do. In this and in all my lives," she wrote in the caption, translated into English.
The couple’s relationship became public in early 2017, and they have since built a family together. They are parents to five children: twins Eva Maria and Mateo, aged eight; daughter Alana, seven; daughter Bella, three; and Cristiano Jr., 15, whom Ronaldo had from a previous relationship.
Their journey has included both joyful and painful moments. In April 2022, they publicly shared the heartbreaking news of the loss of Bella’s twin brother, Ángel.
Their first official appearance together took place at the Best FIFA Football Awards in Zurich in January 2017. By May of that year, they had gone public on Instagram. The couple welcomed their first twins via surrogate in June 2017, followed by the birth of daughter Alana in November the same year.
Engagement speculation surrounded the couple for years as they continued to grow their family and take vacations together. The tragic death of their son Ángel in 2022 added a somber chapter to their shared story.
Their early relationship was spotlighted in Rodriguez’s Netflix docuseries I am Georgina. She recalled meeting Ronaldo while working as a sales assistant at Gucci. Reflecting on that time, Ronaldo said she struck him as “a very interesting girl, so much more mature for her age.”
Rodriguez shared memories of Ronaldo picking her up after work. “He would come, I remember once, in a Bugatti,” she said. “My coworkers went crazy. They get there on the bus, and I would leave in a Bugatti. I mean, people couldn't believe it.”
Ronaldo recounted waiting outside the store in his luxury cars, saying they would then head home and escape into their own world.
The Netflix series also explored their experience with grief. Rodriguez described the loss of their son as “the best and the worst moment of my life.” She reflected on the duality of celebrating Bella’s birth while mourning Ángel. “Over 40 million people follow me, but no one knows how I really feel,” she said. Ronaldo, she added, gave her strength. “Life is hard. Life goes on. I have reasons to move on and be strong.”
