Blackpink Becomes First K-Pop Girl Group to Headline Wembley Stadium With Historic 'Deadline' Tour

‎South Korean pop powerhouse Blackpink reaffirmed their status as the world’s biggest girl group with a spectacular two-and-a-half-hour performance at Wembley Stadium.
‎Blackpink becomes the first K-pop girl group to headline Wembley Stadium, dazzling 70,000 fans with their record-breaking Deadline tour.
‎Live Nation
‎The four-member act—Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa—became the first K-pop girl group to headline the iconic venue, joining the ranks of global superstars such as Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift, BTS, and Oasis. The milestone concert drew a sold-out crowd of 70,000 fans, who were treated to a dazzling mix of music, choreography, and stagecraft.

‎Lisa described the night as an “absolute honour,” dedicating the performance to the audience for making the historic moment possible. Jennie called the concert “an epic dream,” while Rosé reflected on the magnitude of the occasion, praising fans for their unwavering support.
‎The Wembley concert signaled the first of two London dates, concluding the European leg of Blackpink’s Deadline tour. The global trek, spanning 31 shows across 16 cities, launched in Seoul alongside their new single Jump, which broke YouTube records with 26 million views in just 24 hours. Industry projections suggest the group will surpass their own record for the highest-grossing tour by a female group, previously achieved during their 2022–2023 Born Pink world tour.

‎Only one other K-pop act, BTS in 2019, has previously headlined Wembley Stadium, underscoring the scale of Blackpink’s achievement.
‎The London show began with an electrifying opening of Kill This Love, How You Like That, and Pink Venom, complete with laser effects and pyrotechnics. Fans illuminated the stadium with lightsticks flashing in sync with the beats, amplifying the atmosphere. Each performance showcased precise choreography, dynamic stage formations, and seamless transitions into solo sets.
‎Staging highlights included a split-screen video wall during Playing With Fire and the dramatic staging of Shut Down, mirrored in real time by fans replicating the group’s choreography.

‎The Deadline tour blends group performances with solo stages, reflecting the members’ individual ventures over the past year. During their hiatus, Rosé collaborated with Bruno Mars on the global hit APT, Lisa made her acting debut in The White Lotus, Jennie released the viral single Like Jennie, and Jisoo starred in the acclaimed K-drama Snowdrop. Each solo segment carried a distinct identity, yet the group’s strongest moments arrived when the four reunited on stage.
‎Classic hits including Whistle and DDU-DU DDU-DU were delivered with the same vigor as newer tracks like Lovesick Girls and Pretty Savage. Memorable moments included playful on-stage chemistry during Don’t Know What To Do and the infectious encore of Jump, where the group abandoned choreography for carefree spontaneity.
‎By the concert’s close, Jisoo—typically the most reserved member—gave her seal of approval with a simple double thumbs-up, sending the crowd into applause. Blackpink’s Wembley performance celebrated their global superstar status and kicked off an exciting new era for the group.
