'Die'ced: Reloaded' sets August theatrical debut, drops first bone-chilling trailer
Epic Pictures’ horror imprint Dread has officially announced the release of Die’ced: Reloaded, the feature-length expansion of Jeremy Rudd’s widely-shared 2023 short film. Slated for a theatrical premiere on August 8, the blood-soaked slasher will land on VOD just days later on August 12.

Set against the rain-soaked backdrop of 1980s Seattle, the film plunges into the dark tale of Benny, an escaped mental patient who dons a scarecrow mask and embarks on a Halloween killing spree. His rampage takes a twisted turn as he obsessively stalks a young woman, unaware of her role in his deranged fixation.
The trailer, unveiled today, offers a first look at the high-octane carnage and retro-styled horror fans can expect. Starring Eden Campbell (Fear Street: Part Two – 1978), Jason Brooks (The Death of Snow White), and Nigel Vona (The Chronicles of Riddick), the film is produced by Jeffrey Decker, Chad Ferrin, and Tylor Jones.
“I’m thrilled to dive back into the gritty aesthetic of classic slasher cinema from the ’80s and ’90s, but with a fresh, modern pulse,” said writer-director Jeremy Rudd. “Audiences are in for a ride with Cassandra, our new final girl, and Benny, who I believe will become an unforgettable horror villain.”
Epic Pictures CEO Patrick Ewald echoed the excitement, noting the project’s rapid evolution from internet sensation to full-fledged nightmare. “From the moment I saw Jeremy’s original short, I recognized the raw potential—something darker, more vicious, and with a truly unhinged killer,” Ewald remarked. “Die’ced: Reloaded delivers exactly that, and we’re beyond excited to present this bold and brutal vision to horror fans everywhere.”
