Kim Kardashian to produce and possibly star in 'Bratz' live-action movie for Amazon MGM Studios
Amazon MGM Studios has acquired the rights to a new live-action Bratz movie, with Kim Kardashian on board as producer and potentially starring in the film. The project signals a stylish revival of the iconic MGA Entertainment toy line, which has sold more than 200 million dolls worldwide since its debut in 2001.

The upcoming film will be produced by Kardashian and Picturestart, alongside MGA Entertainment, the company behind the original Bratz brand. While plot details remain tightly under wraps, the project promises a modern, high-glamour take on the globally recognized Bratz universe.
Charlie Polinger and Lucy McKendrick are attached as screenwriters. Kardashian will produce with Erik Feig and Julia Hammer of Picturestart, and Jason and Jasmin Larian of MGA. Isaac Larian, founder and CEO of MGA, joins as executive producer.
This will be the second major attempt to bring Bratz to the big screen following Lionsgate’s 2007 live-action adaptation, which featured a young cast including Nathalia Ramos and Jon Voight. Despite brand recognition, the film failed to capture the cultural impact of the dolls and underperformed commercially.
Kardashian’s creative momentum in Hollywood continues to build. She recently starred in American Horror Story: Delicate and is currently filming All’s Fair, a legal drama for Hulu by Ryan Murphy, in which she also serves as executive producer. Kardashian is additionally headlining and producing Netflix’s upcoming ensemble comedy The 5th Wheel.
Polinger, whose Cannes-screened directorial debut The Plague starred Joel Edgerton, is slated to direct The Masque of the Red Death for A24 and Picturestart. His creative collaborator McKendrick, who produced The Plague, is writing, directing, and starring in Fangs alongside Toni Collette and Edgerton.
