‎Sweet Revenge drops fans into a blood-soaked weekend in the woods, where Nelson promises shocking twists only Jason can deliver. Production began earlier this month, with the release planned through the Jason Universe YouTube channel and a dedicated site co-hosted by Angry Orchard Hard Cider, the vignette’s official sponsor.
‎Mike P. Nelson, writing, directing, and producing under his Rockford Road Pictures banner, called the opportunity “surreal.” He added, “This story is a comforting, gory hug that reminds us why we love Jason. I’m honored to be part of this terrifying legacy.”
‎The project is just one facet of a broader revival for Jason Voorhees. This year also brings a stunning new character design from FX legend Greg Nicotero, Jason’s long-awaited return to Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights, and A24’s development of the Crystal Lake prequel series.
‎Horror, Inc.’s Sheri Conn praised the creative partnership: “Even in a short vignette, Nelson will masterfully honor the franchise’s legacy while delivering something fresh for a new generation.”
