The couple, engaged since 2019 and parents to three-year-old Daisy Dove Bloom, have reportedly hit a rough patch following the release of Perry’s album 143. Sources say the mixed reception of the album and the pressures of her Lifetimes World Tour have created "stress and tension" between the couple.
Perry’s tour, which began on April 23 and concludes on December 7, 2025, has received both praise and criticism. Despite sold-out shows, especially in Australia, the overall emotional toll appears to have deeply affected her personal life. A People Magazine source revealed that Perry felt "deeply frustrated" and "disappointed" by the response to her album, which debuted on September 20, 2024.
“Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension,” the insider added. A separate source told Page Six, “It’s over. They’re just waiting until the tour ends to go public.”
This wouldn’t be the couple’s first breakup. They previously split in February 2017, during another period of professional challenges for Perry. At the time, the "Firework" singer publicly shared her emotional struggles, even hinting at suicidal thoughts.
Their love story began in 2016 at a Golden Globes after-party, famously involving a playful burger-stealing moment. Over the years, they’ve weathered public ups and downs, a global pandemic, and the birth of their daughter.
Despite a Valentine’s Day proposal in 2019 and a six-year-long engagement, they have not married. Now, it seems the couple is again facing a pivotal decision—this time possibly for good.
