Dua Lipa confirms engagement to Callum Turner: Inside their love story and ring reveal
Love is officially in the air for British pop sensation Dua Lipa and actor Callum Turner. The Grammy-winning singer has confirmed that she is engaged to the Fantastic Beasts star, putting an end to months of speculation that began when she was spotted wearing a dazzling diamond ring late last year.

In an exclusive interview with British Vogue published on Thursday, June 12, Dua Lipa shared the joyful news: “Yeah, we’re engaged. It’s very exciting,” she revealed. “This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever – it’s a really special feeling.”
The engagement ring, which has captured public attention since Christmas, was a custom creation. Turner enlisted the help of Dua’s inner circle—including her sister Rina—to design the piece. “I’m obsessed with it,” Dua said. “It’s so me. It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.”
Despite the engagement, the couple has no immediate plans to rush down the aisle. Dua Lipa is currently continuing her Radical Optimism Tour with performances in Belgium before headlining Wembley Stadium in London. Meanwhile, Turner is busy shooting for an upcoming film.
“I want to finish my tour, Callum’s shooting, so we’re just enjoying this period,” Dua explained. “I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden, I’m like: ‘Oh, what would I wear?’”
Dua Lipa and Callum Turner were first publicly linked in January 2024 after attending the Masters of the Air premiere afterparty together. However, their story began much earlier at London’s famed River Cafe, where they were introduced by the restaurant’s co-founder. According to Dua, their shared social circle and serendipitous encounters—including both reading Trust by Hernan Diaz—made her believe their connection was “1,000 percent” meant to be.
