Cassie Ventura testifies that Sean 'Diddy' Combs threatened her and kid Cudi during federal trial

The federal criminal trial of music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs took a shocking turn on Wednesday as singer and model Cassie Ventura returned to the witness stand, offering disturbing testimony that detailed physical threats, coercion, and explosive retaliation tied to her brief relationship with rapper Kid Cudi (Scott Mescudi).

‎Cassie testified that she began dating Kid Cudi in 2011 while her relationship with Combs was “not in the greatest place.” Their connection, initially professional and platonic, turned romantic during a turbulent period in her life. According to Cassie, Combs discovered the relationship during what she described as a “freak-off,” a multi-day sex party organized by Combs, after he accessed her private emails sent to one of his staff members.
‎Upon the discovery, Combs allegedly became enraged. Cassie recounted a harrowing moment when he placed a wine corkscrew between his fingers, “lunged” at her, and appeared as though “his eyes blacked out.” Though she wasn’t physically harmed at that moment, she fled the hotel and used a burner phone to call Cudi, who picked her up and took her to his residence.
‎Cassie stated she returned to Combs’ home later that night in an effort to defuse the situation, but was met with more aggression. “He was irate,” she told the court. “He said he was going to hurt Scott and me.” She also said Combs threatened to release explicit “freak-off” tapes if she left. When she tried to walk away, she testified, Combs kicked her in the back, causing visible bruises that were later photographed by her mother.
‎In an email dated December 23, 2011, Cassie warned her mother that Combs planned to leak two sex tapes, potentially on Christmas Day. Her mother took photographs of Cassie’s injuries while she visited family in Connecticut, which were submitted into evidence.
‎Adding to the alarming narrative, Cassie also testified that in February 2012, Combs stated he was “going to blow up Kid Cudi’s car.” Not long afterward, Cudi’s car exploded in his driveway. Representatives for the “Pursuit of Happiness” artist have confirmed this incident to The New York Times.
‎These claims form part of Cassie’s 2023 lawsuit against Combs, which includes allegations of abuse, coercion, and threats of revenge porn. She is expected to continue testifying as Combs faces federal charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and other serious crimes. If convicted, he could face a life sentence.
‎The trial continues to send shockwaves through the entertainment industry, with mounting testimony painting a portrait of violence, manipulation, and fear behind Combs' once-glamorous empire.
