Kanye West has ignited yet another wave of backlash after stating he wishes he had fathered children with socialite Paris Hilton rather than his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. The 47-year-old rapper, known for his erratic public behavior and string of incendiary remarks, made the shocking comment during a brief appearance on Digital Nas’ Twitch stream, before being banned from the platform.

“I should’ve had babies with Paris Hilton over Kim Kardashian,” Ye declared. “Could you imagine if I had kids with Paris Hilton? How many hotels I’d have now. Think about that — the Hilton. I think y’all staying at the Hilton right now. The Edition Hotels is a Hilton.”
Ye’s statement sparked immediate outrage online, with critics condemning the rapper for once again publicly attacking Kim, 44, with whom he shares four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. Fans were quick to highlight the hurt his words could cause their children, many labeling the outburst as "heartless" and "deeply disrespectful."
Viral reactions included one X user, Viceroy Flair, stating: “Talking about your children’s mother like this, especially publicly, is insane.” Another user, LaStraniera25, added: “How could he say these things that are surely hurtful to his kids… I mean how heartless can he be?!”
The comment comes in the wake of Ye releasing new music laced with allusions to a divorce from his current wife, Bianca Censori. The couple, who wed in early 2023, have reportedly faced turbulence in their relationship, though they recently appeared reunited in Spain.
Kanye’s behavior has become increasingly controversial over the past few years, from antisemitic rants and selling swastika-adorned merchandise to bizarre public declarations about his personal life. His brief stint on Twitch ended after just seven minutes due to his comments, though the damage was already done.
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian has maintained a more measured public response. Speaking candidly on her Hulu series The Kardashians, she said, “If people knew what my relationship really was like, I think they would be like, ‘How did this last this long?’” Reflecting on her efforts to save their marriage, she added, “I can live with myself knowing that I tried everything humanly possible.”
Kim filed for divorce in 2021, and despite attempts to reconcile, her attorney cited the couple being "not on the same page." She’s previously admitted that watching Ye’s public transformation has been painful, saying, “I miss the man that I married.”
Ye’s comments also rekindled interest in Kim’s early days, when she was best known as Paris Hilton’s assistant and confidante before launching Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which catapulted her into global superstardom. Hilton, now 44, has moved on from her reality TV past, marrying entrepreneur Carter Reum in 2021 and welcoming two children via surrogacy.
