What's going on? Supermodel Kate Upton is 'truly asking' for legal advice on alarming issue

Supermodel Kate Upton is seeking legal counsel after an alleged "emergency."

On Friday, November 15, Upton, 32, posted on Instagram, "Truly asking … lawyers/judges/advocates/parents: A Dad, recently out of rehab, is traveling alone with his 10-year-old daughter," "He gets drunk and high on pills, says he has a gun on him and threatens to SHOOT the taxi driver if he does NOT drop them off on the highway at midnight to walk home."

She said, "Fortunately, the cab driver refuses and would sooner be shot than dump the little child down on the highway. Is this an emergency? A crime? Would you be afraid for your child?"

Upton also included a "Feedback" box in her post, so social media users may provide their own responses.

Upton has not elaborated on her statement or stated who she is alluding to.

She has already spoken candidly about her family life. Upton and her husband, Justin Verlander, have a 5-year-old daughter named Genevieve, who is nicknamed "Vivi."

"He's always so involved," Upton previously said about her husband's relationship with Vivi during a 2021 interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. "He is the best companion. He's simply not the best dog dad. For example, he has done absolutely little for Norman yet worked almost every night shift for Vivi. So, I'm still a little resentful about it."

Verlander, 41, thinks similarly about Upton as a mother.

"She's been the most amazing woman and mom," the MLB star told Us Weekly exclusively in March 2019. "I knew she'd set a good example for our daughter no matter what. It's who she is, and it's the person I married. I've always admired her for her strength."

Verlander said at the time, "Just seeing her interact, all the nurturing and everything that comes with being a mother, it's been incredible to watch." I know it's not easy for her either, but they have such a strong connection, and it's incredibly great for me to be able to watch and be a part of it."

Upton and Verlander have been married since 2017. Earlier this year, she provided a quick update on their home life with Viv.

"She enjoys dressing with me. "I think she has better style than Justin and me, so she picks out all her own clothes," Upton joked to People in April. "And it makes me so pleased, because clothing are such a creative representation of oneself, and I'm glad she discovered that even at her age. She's just becoming more herself, and I adore it."
