As with previous casting announcements for the show, HBO is keeping character details secret. Season four is currently filming in Cannes and Saint-Tropez, with additional scenes also being shot in Paris. The story will unfold against the backdrop of the Cannes Film Festival, which begins Tuesday in real life.
The newly announced cast members join an extensive lineup that already includes Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Laura Dern, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Dylan Ennis, Corentin Fila, Ari Graynor, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, AJ Michalka, Kumail Nanjiani and Nadia Tereszkiewicz.
Additional stars attached to the season include Chloe Bennet, Sandra Bernhard, Heather Graham, Max Greenfield, Frida Gustavsson, Charlie Hall, Jarrad Paul, Rosie Perez, Ben Schnetzer and Laura Smet. HBO previously revealed that Laura Dern joined the production after Helena Bonham Carter exited the project.
For Season 4, the production is using the Airelles Château de la Messardière in Saint-Tropez and the historic Hotel Martinez in Cannes as filming locations for the fictional White Lotus properties. This marks the first season in which the series features two properties from the luxury hotel chain at the same time.
Ben Kingsley recently appeared in Wonder Man on Disney+, which has already been renewed for a second season, as well as the thriller Deep Water. His recent credits also include The Thursday Murder Club and The Killer’s Game.
Max Minghella, known for his role on The Handmaid’s Tale, recently joined Industry for its fourth season and is also part of the upcoming Clayface. Meanwhile, Pekka Strang is known for performances in The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die and Mister8.
