EJAE, Nuna, and Ami’s excitement reflects both joy and disbelief. Audrey Nuna described the moment as “pure ecstasy mixed with shock,” sharing that the recognition represents the long emotional journey the artists have experienced since the project began. Rei Ami humorously admitted she “blacked out” upon hearing the news, while EJAE called the multiple nominations “crazy” and said she had to stop crying once the reality set in.
The film’s breakout hit “Golden” dominated the Billboard Hot 100 throughout the summer and now shines among the Grammy’s top contenders. The track, co-written by Mark Sonnenblick, earned nominations for Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Best Song Written for Visual Media. Its David Guetta remix also landed a nod for Best Remixed Recording, while the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack itself was nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.
This marks the first time a K-pop group’s song has been recognized in the Grammy general field. Blackpink’s Rosé also made history this year with nominations for “APT” in both Song of the Year and Record of the Year, underscoring the expanding global impact of Korean artists across genres.
KPop Demon Hunters continues to dominate as Netflix’s most popular title ever, telling the story of Huntrix, a girl group that doubles as monster-fighting heroes. Its soundtrack has held a strong position in the Billboard 200 Top 10, while talks of a sequel have now become official, with Netflix and Sony Animation confirming deals for the next installment.
The trio’s unity remains at the heart of their success. Rei Ami expressed deep gratitude for her co-stars, saying that Huntrix would not exist without all three of them. EJAE echoed the sentiment, calling the experience “unique and life-changing.” Audrey Nuna described their bond as a modern “sorority,” celebrating the strength and sisterhood that have carried them through their shared journey.
