‎The network also unveiled a collection of first-look images, offering fans an early glimpse into the upcoming drama.
‎According to the official logline, the series explores an alternate history in which Ashur (Nick E. Tarabay) survives and rises to power after betraying his fellow gladiators. The Romans reward him with control of the gladiator school where he once trained, transforming him from a former slave into a master of the arena. Facing a brutal world of Roman politics, Ashur navigates betrayal and ambition as tools for survival.
‎The story introduces Achillia (Tenika Davis), a gladiatrix determined to earn her place in a male-dominated battlefield. Together, Ashur and Achillia challenge traditions by unleashing a new spectacle that provokes and unsettles Rome’s elite with every bloody contest.
‎The ensemble cast features Graham McTavish as Korris, Jordi Webber as Tarchon, Jamaica Vaughan as Hilara, Ivana Baquero as Messia, Claudia Black as Cossutia, India Shaw-Smith as Viridia, Jackson Gallagher as Caesar, Jaime Slater as Cornelia, and Leigh Gill as Satyrus.
‎Behind the scenes, Spartacus creator Steven S. DeKnight returns as showrunner, writer, and executive producer for House of Ashur. Rick Jacobson and Aaron Helbing also serve as executive producers, with Lionsgate Television producing the series.
‎The Spartacus saga originally launched in 2010 with Spartacus: Blood and Sand, followed by the prequel Spartacus: Gods of the Arena in 2011, Spartacus: Vengeance in 2012, and Spartacus: War of the Damned in 2013. House of Ashur continues the legacy with a new chapter that reimagines the fate of one of its most treacherous characters.
