‎Megan Thee Stallion Files Motion to Force DJ Akademiks to Reveal Source in Tory Lanez Shooting Case

‎The motion is part of Megan’s ongoing civil case against Texas-based YouTuber Milagro Gramz, whom she accuses of collaborating with Lanez in a calculated campaign to discredit her. Court filings claim that Gramz, whose real name is Milagro Cooper, received compensation to publish misleading content about Megan while allegedly coordinating with Lanez to damage her reputation.
‎In 2022, DJ Akademiks publicly shared restricted legal information regarding DNA evidence related to the firearm used in the July 2020 shooting. At the time, the documents were under seal. Lanez was later convicted and sentenced to 10 years in a California state prison for shooting Megan in the foot after an argument.
‎Megan’s attorneys are now asking the court to order Akademiks to testify and reveal who gave him access to the confidential records. During a legal meeting in August, Akademiks made it clear that he would not identify the source unless compelled by a judge through a formal court order.
‎The lawsuit against Gramz highlights what Megan’s team describes as a “years-long campaign to smear and intimidate.” Her legal strategy is now aimed at uncovering the individuals she believes worked in concert to undermine her credibility during the high-profile case. The court has yet to decide whether DJ Akademiks will be required to provide testimony.
